About Me

Forget Me Not Photography by Melissa: I have been an aspiring photographer for years. In the beginning I started out doing maternity and newborns. Through the years I have learned so many fun techniques. And even 3 years since I started, I am still working to perfect my work. There is so much talented competition out there that I want to keep it more of a hobby for myself rather than a career or business. So... I charge what I myself could or would want to pay for pictures. Why should we sacrifice capturing those special moments that we may not be able to obtain again in better financial days? My favorites are the rustic, antique look. And black and whites.

Session Details

I am a on location photographer. Although I do on occasion do them in my home or in yours with studio equipment. Which ever is most comfortable for you. Most sessions take 1 to 2 hours. There is no limit to the amount of shots taken. Although I only edit the "best of the best" out of the collection of shots taken. Which is more than most photographers do without charging extra. You will receive your copyright released HD disk in about a week or 2 after.

-Newborns -

It is best to capture them in the first week to 4 weeks of life. When they can be easily posed still in the fetal position etc. and are sleeping the majority of this time.

Keep in mind that a newborn session may take more time and patience. They usually want to sleep the whole time, but it seems as soon as your ready to take pictures they need something. Bring your baby change of clothes, especially if you have something special you want them to wear in the picture. Plenty of diapers, a binki for soothing (if they take one) and any accessories or props such as, head bands, bracelets, hats, blankets, etc. I do have some of my own you may choose from. I take all the measures possible to make you and your newborn comfortable during your photo shoot.
